Artistic Director of EEDC
Kate Kearns taught as a secondary teacher for 15 years. EEDC was 'born' in 2009 and was co-founded with Harriet Jones and we have continued to strive since. She is also a dance artist and choreographer in West Berkshire. She also works in administration for the NATD.
We offer open contemporary dance classes as well as graded contemporary class for young people aged 11-19. We have recently introduced a dance class for people aged 50+. Our passion and experience has led us to create exciting, challenging classes for young people.

Emma is a performer and choreographer based in Berkshire. She began her dance training through youth companies before attending the University of Winchester, studying BA Hons in choreography and dance. In 2016 Emma established her own company, GoldHill Dance, for which she acts as both a choreographer and performer. The company explore human capabilities and strive to produce thought provoking yet accessible works, enjoyable for all audience participants regardless of previous dance knowledge. Although predominantly a contemporary artist, she uses influences from jazz, street and aerial art in her work. Emma also works as a facilitator, running workshops in education institutes and leading youth dance projects.
